Properties
White crystalline powder. Anhydrous lithium sulfate is soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and acetone. Monohydrate form is stable at room temperature and crystallizes easily under low temperature with low hygroscopy. Its aqueous solution is nearly neutral and melts & decomposes above 860℃. Available in Battery Grade, Industrial Grade and Reagent Grade; battery grade features strict control over Ca, Mg, Na, K and heavy metal impurities.
Applications
- Lithium battery: electrolyte additive, raw material for new lithium salts and cathode precursor;
- Pharmaceutical industry: drug intermediate for psychotropic medicines;
- Chemical industry: flux for special glass & ceramics, feedstock for other lithium compounds;
- Electroplating and cement additives.
Packing & Storage
Packed in 25kg fiber drums with PE inner liner or bulk jumbo bags. Store in dry, ventilated warehouse, keep dry and separate from strong acids.
